Pregnancy and Children

1.  How will the dentist treat me if I am pregnant?

The interventions during pregnancy should rather be avoided. But, in special cases, our doctors will decide if a certain intervention is recommended or not.

2.  Can I get a dental x-ray if I am pregnant?

Even if the dental x-rays have not been dangerous during pregnancy, our doctors do not recommend these, except for the extreme cases. For the safety of the mother and of the fetus, the x-rays and certain treatments should be postponed until the doctor considers there are no risks.

3.  How will the dentist take care of my child?

Children will enjoy all the necessary care and patience, so that they always consider the visit to Dental Progress a pleasant moment.

4.  Can I sit next to my child while he/she is being checked by the doctor?

The experience of the dentists showed that the presence of parents in the dental office is necessary especially when the patients are less than three years old. Being next to their parents, children are more relaxed and the doctor can examine and treat them easier. After this age we recommend that the parents no longer come with their children when these are checked by the doctor, because this way there is a better communication between child and doctor.
